How to
choose an ozone catalyst
Ozone
catalyst technology serves the advanced ozone oxidation process, which combines

ozone treatment of industrial wastewater, improve the ozone utilization rate,

1. High
specific surface area
When the
wastewater is in contact with the ozone catalyst, the organic matter in the
water will be first enriched on the surface of the catalyst. After the ozone is
injected into the system, the ozone will achieve efficient mass transfer and
oxidation reaction on the surface of the ozone catalyst. As the concentration
of organic matter enriched on the surface of the ozone catalyst is high, the
probability of participating in the reaction will be higher. The degradation is
faster and more thorough, and the COD removal rate will be greatly improved.
2, the
effective active ingredients evenly distributed
There are
many kinds of ozone catalysts on the market, some only have active materials on
the surface, and we should choose ozone catalysts with uniform distribution of
efficient catalytic active materials inside and outside. Efficient catalysis of
active ingredients can reduce the activation energy of oxidative decomposition
of organic compounds, and ozone molecules are easy to decompose under the
action of active catalysts to produce strong oxidizing free radicals such as
hydroxyl radicals, thereby improving the oxidation capacity and reaction rate
of ozone, increasing the conversion rate of O3, and reducing the residual ozone
in the tail gas.

Service life
In addition
to activity and selectivity, the stability (or service life) of the catalyst is
also a factor that cannot be ignored. Long-life catalysts can not only reduce
the frequency of replacement, but also reduce the cost of related replacement
and treatment. Therefore, when selecting ozone catalysts, priority should be
given to those products that have been proven to have a long service life.
